Amsterdam is the capital city of and most populous within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. it has so attractions. Here is a list of Wonderful places to visit in Amsterdam.

WINDMILLS

The Zaanse Schans is one of the highlights of the Netherlands, just outside Amsterdam. Be part of a vibrant and stunning living and working community that dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries. It’s packed with wooden windmills, barns, houses and museums and built in the typically Dutch wooden architectural style, relocated here piece by piece since 1961. The Zaanse Schans will easily fill half a day – there is so much to see, taste, smell and experience! Take a walk through the stunning buildings and the unique peat meadow landscape. Come and watch traditional crafts such as clog- and cheese-making or visit the windmills and traditional buildings. Take a boat trip, dine in one of the restaurants or explore the shops and boutiques. Admission to the Zaanse Schans is free of charge, for some of the attractions you have to pay. An Amsterdam Canal Cruise is most popular tourist attraction in the country. A diverse fleet of around 200 tour boats carry more than 3 million passengers a year, offering a waterborne variety of almost every form of entertainment that's available in Amsterdam.

RED LIGHT DISTRICT

It is the most liveliest resort in Amsterdam,Amsterdam is the only ancient city in the world where the medieval center is not a museum but a Red light district. Already in the Middle ages, drinking houses were established around the first harbours in the city. The first brothels here were opened in the 15th century, mainly in the Warmoesstraat and the alleys around it. But along the first canals in the area, rich merchants and regents established residence. Among many other famous occupants of the oldest canal in the city,



RIJKSMUSEUM  ( STATE MUSUEM)


The Rijksmuseum, which in English means – The State Museum, exists for more that two hundred years and today belongs to the most breathtaking museums in the world.

Amsterdam Light Festival

light Festival, which sees magical laser shows piercing the night sky and glinting off the canals over Christmas and New Year.


Running from December 6 to January 19, 2014, the festival will exhibit a series of around 30 magnificent light and laser installations specially commissioned from contemporary Dutch and international artists. Flashing artworks are strategically placed to light up the streets and canals; a massive futuristic globe perched outside Centraal Station, a glittering skyscraper reflecting off the water in Prins Hendrikkade and the artwork Reflections by Teresa Mar coating the façade of the Hermitage Amsterdam in a spider’s web of sparkling multi-colored neon.
